Aryaveer scored 109 runs across the three matches in the series. Anvay, meanwhile, impressed with aggressive batting in the lower order and recorded the highest strike rate in the entire Indian team.
Anvay played the first two matches of the series against Australia. In the rain-affected first match, which was reduced to 20 overs, he smashed 38 runs off just 18 balls. His innings included two fours and three sixes.
In the second match, Anvay got an opportunity to bat at the very end and scored nine runs from eight balls. Across his two innings, he faced a total of 26 balls and scored 47 runs, hitting three fours and three sixes. His strike rate stood at 180.77, while his batting average was 23.50.
Anvay also contributed with the gloves. In the first two matches against Australia, he was involved in two dismissals, taking one catch and effecting one stumping.
With India having already secured an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series, Anvay was rested for the third match. Wicketkeeper-batter Rajat Baghel was given an opportunity in his place.
Anvay Dravid has now played four Youth ODIs for India Under-19. In July, he featured in two matches against Sri Lanka, scoring 87 and 14 runs. Across his four innings so far, he has accumulated 148 runs.
His batting average in Youth ODIs stands at 37.00, while his strike rate is 132.14. His highest score is 87. He has also hit 13 fours and four sixes in Youth ODI cricket.
Anvay’s explosive performances against Australia have added another notable chapter to his early Youth ODI record, with his ability to contribute with both the bat and behind the stumps standing out during India’s 3-0 series victory.
